Outline of Modern Chinese History

Contents: “Outline of Modern Chinese History” is the public political theory and also the compulsory course of National Colleges which carry on the Marxism elementary theory, the Chinese Marxism theoretical teach in. But it is not the history department undergraduate student's professional course. Its duty is, through the teaching of this course, to help the students understand the national history and national condition. It helps students know how Chinese people comprehend the history and then has chosen the Marxism, why they have chosen Communist Party of China and how they have chosen the socialist road and the execution of party's basic line and basic program self-consciously and firmly.

Sociology
Contents: "Sociology" mainly introduces the basic concepts, principles and some important methods and techniques to understand the society. Through the course, the students will understand the basic operating conditions and possible future development trends, and build the ability to analyze and grasp some basic social phenomenon, for better social adaptation in the future. This course demonstrates the basic concepts, principles and basic methods of Sociology and analyzes some real social phenomena, to treat some social realities with dialectical perspective and to look at operation and development of society with developing view.

Investment Psychology
Contents: The course demonstrates the basic concepts of investment, the diversification of different investments, in particular the financial market, the securities market, and the content, functions and features of investment in the real estate market. On the other hand, from a psychological perspective, the course deeply analyzes the individual investor psychology (the illusion of stock price, the memory of stock market, the stock market sentiments, investment decision, etc.), and describe investor behavior, needs, motivation and the strategies, skills and self-control when facing to investment psychology, behavioral barriers and setbacks. In addition, investors psychological groups (popular, the stock market rumor, and herd behavior, etc.) are also the objects of analysis.
 
Personality Psychology
Contents: This course offers a general introduction to the study of personality. It surveys the major theoretical perspectives and research issues in the field of personality psychology. In particular, the contributions made by psychodynamic, humanistic, trait, and cognitive-behavioral theories to the study of personality development, personality assessment, and personality change will be reviewed. Course Activities include lectures, class discussions, and watching films. Prerequisite: general psychology.
 
Psychological Health Education for College Students
Contents: This course is a survey of how psychological theories and research methods can contribute to our understanding, prediction, and promotion of health behaviour. Through readings, lecture, and discussion, students will become better consumers of research on behavior-health interactions and develop a broad base of knowledge concerning how behavior and other psychological factors can impart health both positively and negatively. The goal of Psychological Health Education at the college level is to help establish patterns of behavior that will assist a person in achieving complete health. And,this course is designed to offer students the opportunity to acquire knowledge, incorporate life skills, and develop positive attitudes about life. Development of a healthy mind will assist young people in living active, productive, and successful lives.
 
Counseling Psychology
Contents: This course provides an introduction to the field of counseling psychology. To examine basic approaches, principals, and procedures of counseling, students engage in some directed role playing of counseling techniques as well as prepare a class demonstration based on their personal integration of readings and practice. Experiential exercises in the course will build basic helping skills in the areas of listening and communication. Students will learn what counseling skills has indicated is most effective. They will also learn how to apply the counseling skills to solving their own problems.
